I just learned of the death, only 58 years, the great Irish guitarist Gary Moore .
This is an article I wrote last summer, wrote on the occasion of the passage of his tour in Italy, with a brief introduction to his discography .
Moore has a special relationship with the Gibson. It is known that for years he owned a precious Gibson Les Paul Standard of 1959, bought for only 120 pounds from one of his idols, Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac . The Gibson's also a dedicated model, the acclaimed Gary Moore BFG , a Les Paul unique.
In his tour, Moore is giving priority to the aspect of his hard rock music, in spite of his other soul, - always present - had the lion's share in its production since the '90s: the rock blues. Here is a five-part introduction to their discography, five entrance doors to various rooms of his music.
